Disney announces dates for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween party

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom is will begin earlier in 2016.

The first night of the event will be Sept. 2, almost two months before Halloween.  Visitors will have a record 29 nights to celebrate Halloween at the park. 

Some of the festivities include trick-or-treating around the Magic Kingdom.

The “Hocus Pocus Villian Spelltacular,” which debut last year, returns this fall. Of course, visitors will still be able to see favorites such as Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade and the “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks show.

  • September
    2, 8, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 29, 30
  • October
    2, 4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 31

Disney changed its costume policy. Guests 14 and older can wear costumes during special events, but are strongly discouraged from wearing layered costumes.  They may be subject to additional security screening.  Also, costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could be mistaken for a weapon.

So far, tickets are not available and Disney has not announced pricing.
